Kennell, 66, Baltimore and Ohio Railroad passenger conductor, died last Sunday afternoon in Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, to which he was admitted last Friday. Mr. Kennell began work for the B & O at Meyersdale 44 years ago and was conductor on the Cumberland to Pittsburgh run until he became ill about six months ago. He was admitted to the hospital after he became critically ill at his home in Cumberland. He was born near Meyersdale. He was a member of the Order of Railroad Conductors and of First Baptist Church of Cumberland. Surviving are two sons, John Homer Kennell and Arthur E. Kennell, and one daughter, Mrs. Frances Travis, all at home; one brother, Lewis Kennell, Akron, Ohio, and three grandchildren. His wife died six years ago. Funeral services were conducted at the home Wednesday afternoon by Rev. Hixon T. Bowersox, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Meyersdale Republican, March 29, 1945
