Born April 2, 1915, in Somerset, son of the late Simon Miller and Jennie May (Dumbauld) Kennell. Also preceded in death by three brothers: Ralph, Hunter and Eugene; and two sisters: Helen Queer and Rhoda Kennell. Brother of: Bryan D., Somerset; Miss Mabel, Berlin; Mrs. Richard F. (Dorothy) Geary, Naples, Fla.; the Rev. Woodrow, Indianapolis, Ind.; and Miss Gail R., Somerset. Retired employee of Somerset State Hospital for 23 years. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church, I.O.O.F. #438 and the I.O.O.F. Encampment. Active with the Boy Scouts of America with 35 years of service, had served as assistant Scout master of Troop 131 and was the neighborhood commissioner for Somerset and had received the Order of Merit from the Boy Scouts of America. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be held Friday at 10 a.m., with Pastor H. James Meyers officiating. Interment, Husband Cemetery.
