Born Jan. 14, 1926, in Kennells Mill, a son of the late Erma Edna (Lepley) and Hobart James Kennell. Also preceded in death by his brother, Merle Kennell, who died in 1999. Survived by his wife of over 50 years, Dorothy Mae (LeMasters); brothers, Homer Kennell, Hyndman, Wayne Kennell and Gerald Kennell, both of Meyersdale; and sister, Helen Kennell, Meyersdale. Also survived by nieces and nephews. A retired heavy equipment operator from Cumberland Concrete with 40 years of service. He was an Army veteran and member of the Teamsters union, American Legion Post 0024 and Frostburg LOOM. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence St., Hyndman, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Rebecca Vardiman officiating. Interment, Sunset Memorial Park.
