Charles Robert Kephart, aged 40, died of a heart attack at his home in Aspinwall, Pa., early Saturday morning, Oct. 12th. He was a son of Fred L. Kephart of Hollidaysburg, Pa. Sgt. Kephart joined the Pennsylvania State Police in June 1929 and was assigned to the Greensburg troop throughout his entire service. He directed the State Police driving school on Washington Boulevard, Pittsburgh, the last ten years. He had suffered from a heart condition for several months. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Kathryn Llewllyn Kephart, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wyndom Llewllyn of Berlin, and his father and brother Lynn Kephart, and two sisters, Alma and Gladys Kephart, all of Hollidaysburg. Funeral services were held at the Moore Funeral Home in Aspinwall, Tuesday, October 15, at 11 o'clock, with interment in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Berlin. State Policemen from the Greensburg Barracks, formed an honor guard at his funeral services. Meyersdale Republican, October 18, 1946
