Born March 8, 1918, in Gray. Son of Frank Sr. and Mary (Hudak) Kerch. Preceded in death by parents, son, Stephen; sister and five brothers. Survived by wife, the former Helen Zurvensky; daughter, Sandra Blust, Mechanicsburg; son, Frank, married to the former Ginger Derimeti, Shippensburg; stepson Michael Albin, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two grandsons, two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren. Also sisters: Mary Fego, New Rochelle, N.Y., and Ann Yadish, Boswell. Member of SS. Peter & Paul Russian Orthodox Church, Boswell; Somerset Post 554, VFW; Keystone State Chapter, DAN and Civilian Conservation Corps. Army staff sergeant. Veteran of World War II, having served with the 23rd Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division Combat Team. Participated in D Day invasion. Recipient of Silver and Bronze stars and Purple Heart. Retired steelworker for Bethlehem Steel Corp., Johnstown. Observed 52nd wedding anniversary Sept. 29, 1998. Friends received from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, where Parastas will be held at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, and be continued immediately afterward at SS. Peter & Paul Church, the Very Rev. Father Archpriest George Johnson officiating.
