Born Feb. 23, 1920, in Wilbur, the son of Frank and Lidia (Domonkos) Keri. Preceded in death by parents, daughter Lydia, brothers Steve, Mike and Joe and sister, Bertha Benny. Survived by his wife of 47 years, the former Luella Rayman; son, Daniel Jr., married to the former Pamela Toth, Windber; sisters, Ethel Betta and Elizabeth Szakach, both of Youngstown, Ohio; nieces, Karen Tall and Suzanne Younkin and family, all of Friedens. Retired coal miner. World War II Army veteran, serving as a medic. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Hooversville; Robert P. Hite Post 257, American Legion, Stoystown; Hooversville Post 7565, VFW; Somerset County Oldtimers Baseball Association and a 50-year member of UMWA Local 2200. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Rev. Gerald L. Myers officiating. Interment, Otterbein Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Windber Hospice, Windber, Pa. 15963. American Legion service at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
