Kerin, 78, of Somerset, died Sept. 16, 1986, at Greater Niagara General Hospital, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. Born Nov. 14, 1907, in Imperial, Pa., a son of the late Anton and Katherine (Herrick) Kerin. Also preceded in death by first wife, Alma (Schrock) Kerin. Survived by his wife, the former Josephine C. Antonacci; a son, Douglas D. Kerin of Johnstown; and seven grandchildren. Brother of Mrs. Joseph (Margaret) Cancellara, Woodside, N.Y.; Edward J. of Pittsburgh; Gilbert, Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. Joseph (Alice) Fodor, Imperial. Also survived by one nephew, Joseph Fodor Jr. He was an investment counselor for Investors Financial Services. As a former educator and coach at Somerset High School, he formed the first Somerset High School basketball team. Past president of the Somerset Lions Club and active with the Boy Scouts of America. Past member of the Somerset School Board. Friends wilt be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, St. Peter's Catholic Church, the Rev. Father Samuel J. Tomaselli, celebrant. Interment, Husband Cemetery.
