  GERTRUDE KERN
  
    Gertrude Kern, 54, Normalville, Star Route, died July 15, 1980, in
  Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.
    She was born July 23, 1926, in Springfield Township, and was a
  daughter of the late Samuel C. and Sadie (Miller) Lohr.  She was a
  lifelong resident of Springfield Township.  She was a member of the
  Mill Run Grange and the Indian Creek Baptist Church.
    She is survived by her husband, John A. Kern; one daughter,
  Rozanne, at home; four sons: Gerald R., Normalville; Robert K., at
  home; Terry L., Somerset RD; Richard M., Rockwood; seven
  grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Lohr, Jones Mills, and Reid
  Lohr, Mt. Pleasant; and two sisters: Mrs. Louella Phillips and Mrs.
  Melinda Pletcher, both of Plant City, Florida.  She was preceded in
  death by one brother, Glenn, and three sisters: Kathryn, Mildred and
  Mrs. Elizabeth Porterfield.
    Friends were received in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., Rt.
  711, Melcroft.  Services were held with the Rev. Philip Horne
  officiating.  Interment, Indian Creek Baptist Cemetery.
