He was born in Sand Patch. He was reared by relatives in Connellsville and Meyersdale. Later, he attended Meyersdale High School, where he played on the football team, as well as LaSalle Institute in Cumberland, Md. In 1942, he married Margaret Morrison of Ypsilanti. He was a World War II veteran. For twenty years he was a Construction Manager for Motor City Electric. Each May, he returned to Meyersdale to attend the High School reunions and meet with his friends. Surviving are his wife, Margaret, and a son James M. The Republic, March 27, 1980 [K0416]
