Deceased had been ill for some time, but was able to walk about, though unable to do manual labor. Less than two weeks before he died he entered the hospital, from which time his condition grew steadily worse. His remains were taken to the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Kerrigan, of Sand Patch, where he was born. For a number of years he was employed in the capacity of fireman on the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, and was considered one of the best men in this department on the Pittsburg Division. The railroad employes to a man were his warmest friends, he having so conducted himself among his fellows as to merit their truest friendship and highest esteem. Besides his parents he is survived by one sister and nine brothers, as follows: Michael, of Connellsville; William and Joseph, of Pittsburg; Thaddeus, of Rockwood; Thomas, of Texas; Edward, James, Richard, Stephen and Miss Annie, at home. Services over his remains were conducted by his pastor, Rev. Father Kelly in SS. Philip & James Catholic Church on Sunday afternoon, and interment was made in the R.C. Cemetery later. The floral tribures were numerous and beautiful. The last rites in the cemetery were unusually well attended, notwithstanding the inclemency of the weather. May he rest in peace.
