Born March 27, 1910 in Meyersdale, daughter of Silas Christian and Malinda (Folk) Hostetler. Preceded in death by parents; husband, to whom she married Aug. 23, 1929, Harvey Lewis Kerschensteiner, who died Jan. 2, 1968; four brothers: Carl, Floyd, Markle and Kenneth Hostetler and three sisters Orpha Burkholder, Carrie Edith Gindlesperger and Mildred Hostetler. Survived by these children: Rev. Edward L. Kerschensteiner, married to the former Anna Lou Mazer, Boise, Idaho; and Doris Ann, wife of Bishop Irvin J. Knieriem, Somerset; eight grandchildren: Harold, A. Scott Kerschensteiner, and Dawn (Kerschensteiner) Heller, all of Boise, Idaho; Janice (Knieriem) Folmer, Meridian, Idaho; Elaine (Knieriem) Kitchens, Wendell Knieriem, and Denise (Knieriem) Neal, all of Somerset and Douglas Knieriem, Dover, Del.; and 23 great-grandchildren. Sister of Mrs. Anna Shultz, Glencoe, and Bruce Hostetler, Boston, Mass. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic of Somerset. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic, 141 Forward Boulevard, Somerset, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Bishop Irvin J. Knieriem and Rev. Edward L. Kerschensteiner officiating. Interment, St. Paul Cemetery, Elk Lick Township. Arrangements by Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. Daily American, March 13, 1998 [K0422]
