  KERTIS
  
  Ann (Phillips) Kertis, 91, of Beverly Healthcare, Johnstown, formerly
  of Jerome, died Nov. 9 , 2002 at Beverly Healthcare.  Born Dec. 23,
  1910 in Etna, daughter of Charles and Barbara (Suhar) Kertis. 
  Preceded in death by parents, husband John Jr., on April 19, 1977,
  sisters Mary Yuchnik, Elizabeth Stetz, Margaret Grebeck, and Julia
  Krupa and brother Michael "Pee Pee" Philips.  Survived by son John J.
  and his companion, Pat Homan of Johnstown; granddaughters, Heidi
  (Kertis), married to Robert Bursch and Anita Kertis, both of Orlando,
  Fla.; sisters Helen Rigo of Johnstown and Alice, married to Walter
  "Moe" Blucas of Boswell.  Beloved "granny" to the Blucas children. 
  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Member of S.S. Peter
  and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Jerome.  Former volunteer for the
  Johnstown Chamber of Commerce.  Along with her husband, she was owner
  and operator of the former Jennerstown Inn.  Friends received from 5
  to 9 p.m. Monday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny, Street,
  Boswell, where Panachida will be held 7:30 p.m. Monday.  Christian
  burial with divine liturgy at 10 a.m. Tuesday at S.S. Peter and Paul
  Church, the Rev. Father Daniel Loya, Celebrant.  Interment, church
  cemetery.
