  JOHN KERTIS
  
    John Kertis, 77, Maple Mountain Manor, Berlin, formerly of Windber,
  died Sept. 3, 1980 in Berlin.
    He was born June 30, 1903, in Windber, son of Michael and Anna
  (Polovchik) Kertis.   He was preceded in death by parents, and
  brother, Michael.
    He is survived by these sisters: Mary, wife of Michael Chvostaly;
  Helen, wife of John Gembinsky; and Anna, all of New York City. 
  Member of Holy Name Society and St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church,
  Windber.  He was a retired stock clerk at Eureka Store.
    Friends were received at Hugh W. Marron Funeral Home.  A funeral
  mass was held at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, the Rev.
  Thomas Gran.  Interment, church cemetery.
