The former Teri L. Dunmyer is survived by her mother, Frances "Peggy" Dunmyer; sisters Bonnie Mitchell of Somerset and Karen Swank, wife of Elwood Swank, of Rockwood. Her husband, Joe Ketchum and stepchildren, Neil, Abigail and Ben. Nieces and nephews, Lee Mitchell, Jamie, Dean and Jerry Weaver. She was a daughter of the late Gerald G. Dunmyer of Somerset. She was a 1971 graduate of Somerset Area Senior High School and earned her AA degree at Miami-Dade Community College in 1973 and her BA at Penn State University in 1975. She was employed by the Pennsylvania Dept. of Community Affairs in Harrisburg for over 18 years, where she supervised the training of local government officials. The annual Teri Foster Lifetime Achievement Award was created by the Pennsylvania Downtown Center in honor of her years of commitment and service in community development and to recognize her accomplishments in the preservation of Pennsylvania's downtowns.
