Born Dec. 20, 1930, in Somerset, he is the son of Paul Franklin Sr. and Freda Brown (Michaels) Kieffer. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by wife, the former Vonda Lee Lancaster to whom he was married 57 years; children, Mrs. Lynn (Gale Lynn) Schwartz, Upper Marlboro, Md. and Paul Franklin Kieffer III, Somerset; grandchildren, Mrs. Gregg (Jaclyn) Colton, Natalie and Eric Schwartz. Brother of Ms. Mary Louise Kieffer, Dubois; James Calvin Kieffer and wife, Joann, Woodbridge, Va. and Dorson Bruce Kieffer, Spotsylvania, Va. A 1949 graduate of St. Mary's Pa. High School and received an associate degree in business administration from Prince George Community College. USMC veteran of the Korean War. Worked as a foreman for R. Floyd Jennings Co. in Washington, D.C. Retired as a plaster superintendents for Smithsonian Institute from 1976 - 1993. Also a member of Turkeyfoot Fish and Game Association and VFW Post 7250 in Confluence as well as Moose Lodge in Glen Burnie, Md. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where service will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Clarence Moore officiating.
