Loveta Killius, 67, of Springs, died at her home Nov. 17, 1978. Born in Keyser, W.Va., Dec. 20, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Jonas Ash and Alice (Yoder) Ash. Mrs. Killius was a member of Springs Mennonite Church, the Salisbury Hospital Auxiliary, a past president of the Daughters of Dorcus Sewing Circle, chairman of the food committee at the Springs Folk Festival and a past leader of the Sunshine Girls. She is survived by her husband, Walter Killius; a son, James R. Killius, Hunker; two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Brenneman, Bittinger, Md.; Mrs. Gay Brownlee, Springs; one brother, Clyde Ash, Grantsville, Md., two sisters, Mrs. Lura Folk, and Mrs. Rosella Baker, both from Springs; 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home. Services were conducted in Springs Mennonite Church, by Rev. John Kraybill. Interment, Springs Cemetery. The Republic, November 23, 1978 [K0481]
