Killius, 71, of Charlonne Street, Jaffrey died Nov. 25, 2000 at the Darthmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. following a long illness. She was born March 8, 1929 in Johnstown, daughter of the late James and Sarah Clarice (Heiner) Killius. Survivors include a brother James L. Killius and his wife Dorothy of Berlin; a niece Martha K. Pechnyo of Wilmette, Ill.; a nephew David R. Killius of Berlin, and many beloved friends. She was a graduate of Hood College in Frederick, Md. and also Smith College, School for Social Work in Amherst, Mass. Ms. Killius was board certified in clinical Social Work and a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers, the National Association of Social Workers and the Massachusetts Society of Clinical Social Work. She has been a resident of Jaffrey for the past 14 years, having previously lived in Acton, Mass. and Boson. Until 1998, she had a private practice in clinical social work in the serving the greater Monadnock area. She formerly had a practice in Acton, Mass. She was also a professor at the Smith College for Social Work, Boston University School of Social Work and senior clinician with Boston Psychotherapy Associates. She was previously director of North Central Human Services in Gardner, Mass. and program manager of community support services. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the Monadnock Humane Society, PO Box 678, West Swanzey, N.H. 03469 or to the Jaffrey Rindge VFW Memorial Ambulance Inc., PO Box 107, Jaffrey, N.H. 03452-0106.
