Kimble, 68, of Meyersdale died May 16, 2001 at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital. Born Dec. 9, 1932 in Meyersdale. A son of the late Charles G. and Margaret (Jones) Kimble. Also preceded in death by three brothers, James, David and Verl. Surviving are his widow, Viola (Ohler), a son, George Jr. of Meyersdale; three brothers, Charles of St. Helen, Mich.; Kenneth and Ronald, both of Meyersdale, and three sisters, Mary Carter of Beaver Falls, Evelyn Musser of Meyersdale and Peggy Zimmerman of Salisbury. A member of the Zion Lutheran Church where he served as an usher, Sunday School teacher and on the church council. A member of the Charles E. Kelly American Legion Post 112 and DAV. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Pastor George Mason officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery.
