Kimmel, died suddenly at her home on High St., Berlin, Thursday evening, May 5, 1949. She was born February 26, 1880, in Brothersvalley Township. Only daughter of the late David L. and Susan (Hay) Meyers. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Margaret, wife of Daniel McNaughton, and Marian, wife of James Darsie, and by one grandchild, Anne McNaughton, all of California, and a brother, Frank H. Meyers of Berlin R.D., and six nieces and nephews. Mrs. Kimmel received her education in the public schools and local normal schools of Somerset County. Before her marriage she taught several terms in Brothersvalley Twp. and was always interested along educational lines. Early in life she united with the Berlin Brethren Church which denomination she served faithfully for 54 years, as president of the Women's Missionary Society, as teacher in the Sunday School and as church organist. Funeral services were held in her late home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Percy Miller, assisted by the Rev. Robert S. Nagle, officiated. The host of friends who called and the beautiful floral tributes showed the high esteem in which she was held. Interment in the Berlin Cemetery under direction of Johnson and Son, morticians.
