Born Dec. 17, 1917, in Lower Turkeyfoot Township, he was a son of the late Nolan H. and Lilly (Whaley) Kimmel. Survived by his wife, Pearle (Shaulis) Kimmel and the following children: Virginia K., Indianapolis, Ind.; Karol L. Smith, Washington; Charles N., Anchorage, Alaska; Richard H. and Robert L., both of Confluence; Randall C., Powder Springs, Ga.; 16 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Emily Moore, Farmington; and Mrs. Grace Rugg, Confluence. Preceded in death by a brother, Harry. A veteran of WW II, he was a member of the Confluence VFW Post 7250, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, the International Association of Electrical Inspectors and the United Mine Workers of America. Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.- 9 p.m. Sunday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Vernon Witt officiating.
