  Donald R. Kimmel Sr., 75, of Berlin, died Nov. 21, 1999, at home. 
  Born Nov. 9, 1924, in Glencoe, son of George W. and Nellie M.
  (Campbell) Kimmel.  Preceded in death by parents, brothers George and
  Otis and sister Betty.  Survived by these children: Donald R. Jr. of
  Lake Mary, Fla., Donna Rae Shelton of Springfield, Va., Kenneth of
  Baltimore, Md, and Walter of the U.S. Navy; three grandchildren:
  Megan D. Kimmel, Scott W. and Derrick R. Shelton; and
  great-granddaughter Ashley Diana Shelton; brothers Robert of Glencoe,
  Frank of Fairfax, Va., and Otto of Hyndman; sisters Ruth Bittner of
  Corriganville, Md., Alice Williams of Las Vegas, Nev., Eva Jane
  Miller of Hyndman, and Mary Nicks of Cumberland, Md.  World War II
  Army Air Force veteran, where he served as radio operator/gunner
  aboard a B-17 Flying Fortress of the Eighth Air Force.  Retired from
  Steam Fitters Local 486, Baltimore, Md.  Lifetime member of Berlin
  American Legion and VFW.  Family will received friends from 2 to 4
  and 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where
  service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, the Rev. Robert Hoffman
  officiating.  Interment, Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Glencoe.  Memorial
  contributions may be given to "In Touch" Hospice, 15901 N. Center
  Ave., Somerset, Pa. 15501.  Graveside military rite by Berlin
  American Legion and VFW.
