Kimmel, 101, of Masonic Homes, Elizabethtown, formerly of Quecreek and Vero Beach, Fla., died Oct. 2, 1999, at the Masonic Health Care Center, Elizabethtown, following a brief illness. Born in Edie, she was a daughter of the late Henry H. and Ida (Schrock) Hay. She was the widow of John Kimmel, who died in 1979. She also was preceded in death by three sons, Ray, Jay and Clair; three brothers, Jay, George, and Frank; and a sister, Mary Maurer. She is survived by a son, Telford Kimmel of Marigot, Commonwealth of Dominica, West Indies; and two granddaughters. A homemaker, Mrs. Kimmel was a former member of Casebeer Lutheran Church in Somerset. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Daughters of the American Revolution. In her earlier years, she enjoyed oil painting and horseback riding. Graveside service 11 a.m., Wednesday at Beams Cemetery, Boswell, with the Rev. Gerald E. Deffenbaugh officiating.
