  Harold D. Kimmel, 74, Friedens, died May 17, 2003 at his residence. 
  Born April 12, 1929 in Friedens, son of Harry W. and Elsie (Fritz)
  Kimmel.  Preceded in death by parents and sister Doris Kimmel. 
  Survived by his wife of 51 years, the former Wilma Schradel;
  daughters, Sandi, wife of Cary Shoob of Richmond Hill, Ga., Karen and
  fiancee Ted Hansen of Buford, Ga., and Susan, wife of Scott Berkebile
  of Friedens; and grandchildren, Jordan Shoob, Ashley and Kaitlyn
  Berkebile.  Also survived by a sister Bernice, married to Donald
  Trout of Hermitage, and several nieces and nephews.  A 1947 graduate
  of Shanksville-Stonycreek High School.  Two year Army veteran of the
  Korean Conflict.  Retired in 1991 as Somerset Township Supervisor. 
  Previously served as Justice of the Peace in Somerset Township. 
  Worked several years in the auto parts and repair service.  Member of
  Friedens Lutheran Church, Somerset Lodge 358 F.&A.M., Scottish Rite,
  Somerset V.F.W. and Somerset American Legion.  He enjoyed flea
  markets and antique shopping.  Family will receive friends from 2 to
  4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where a
  Masonic service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday.  Funeral service
  will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Friedens Lutheran Church.  Rev.
  Edward V. DeVore officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial
  Park.  Memorial contributions may be given to Friedens Lutheran
  Church Community Ministry Fund, Friedens, Pa., 15541.
