  KIMMEL
  
  Ida S. Kimmel, 87, of Shanksville Road, Berlin, died May 6, 1999, at
  Meadow View Nursing Center.  Born Dec. 24, 1911, in Stonycreek
  Township.  Daughter of Ellis C. and Dillie Mae (Snyder) Kimmel. 
  Preceded in death by parents; brothers Jonathan and Harold Kimmel;
  sisters Blanche Long and Margaret Kimmel.  Survived by sister-in-law,
  Hilda Kimmel of Berlin, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Graduate of
  Berlin High School and California State Teachers College.  Retired
  first-grade schoolteacher in Berlin Brothersvalley School District
  with 43 years of service.  Member of Berlin Brethren Church, where
  she served as deaconess, Sunday School teacher, primary
  superintendent, women's missionary society, patroness of sisterhood,
  Young at Heart Class and choir member.  Also a member of PASR,
  Somerset County Retired Teachers Association and Delta Cappa Gamma
  Society.  Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at
  Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 2 p.m.
  Sunday, with Rev. Bryan G. Karchner and Rev. Owen H. Preston
  officiating.  Interment, Berlin IOOF Cemetery.  Memorial
  contributions may be given to Berlin Brethren Church, 620 Main St.,
  Berlin, Pa. 15530.
