Kimmel, 91, of Friedens RD 2, died Feb. 9, 1988, at Maple Mountain Manor. Born Aug. 19, 1896, in Johnstown, son of Harry and Sarah (Ford) Kimmel. Preceded in death by parents; his wife, the former Margaret Martz, who died in 1978; six brothers, two sisters and a grandson, Barry Lowery. Survived by these children: Mrs. Elwood (Sarah) Lowery of Friedens RD 2; Mrs. Elmer (Mabel) Brady of Berlin RD 1; Irvin of Monroeville; and Mrs. Augustus (Mary) Carow of Jamesburg, N.J.; also 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He was retired from Shanksville Builders Supply. Veteran of World War I. Member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Shanksville; and member for over 50 years of the Harry Fisher Post 445, American Legion, Berlin. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, formerly Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home. Funeral will be held at the convenience of the family. The Rev.
