  KIMMEL
  
  Irvin C. Kimmel, 91, of Friedens RD 2, died Feb. 9, 1988, at Maple
  Mountain Manor.  Born Aug. 19, 1896, in Johnstown, son of Harry and
  Sarah (Ford) Kimmel.  Preceded in death by parents; his wife, the
  former Margaret Martz, who died in 1978; six brothers, two sisters
  and a grandson, Barry Lowery.  Survived by these children: Mrs.
  Elwood (Sarah) Lowery of Friedens RD 2; Mrs. Elmer (Mabel) Brady of
  Berlin RD 1; Irvin of Monroeville; and Mrs. Augustus (Mary) Carow of
  Jamesburg, N.J.; also 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. 
  He was retired from Shanksville Builders Supply.  Veteran of World
  War I.  Member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Shanksville; and member
  for over 50 years of the Harry Fisher Post 445, American Legion,
  Berlin.  Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday
  at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, formerly Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral
  Home.  Funeral will be held at the convenience of the family.  The
  Rev. Horst H. Bandle officiating.  Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F.
  Cemetery.
