  KIMMEL
  
  John J. Kimmel, 94, Somerset, died Nov. 8, 1985, in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born Jan. 3, 1891, in Stonycreek Township, son
  of the late Harvey and Nora (Will) Kimmel.  Also preceded in death by
  his first wife, Estella M. Kuhs; on son, George; one stepson, Robert;
  one stepdaughter, Jean; and one sister and one brother.  Survived by
  his wife, the former Iva (Bauermaster) Miller, and these children:
  Mrs. Anthony (Lucille) Schmidt, Somerset RD 6; Mrs. Dan (Grace)
  Fishell, Albany, N.Y.; Mrs. Thomas (Virginia) Cyphert, Kingston,
  Ohio; and stepchildren: Edward Miller, Walnut, Calif.; Mrs. Nevin
  (Geraldine) Shaffer, Somerset; Mrs. Kenneth (Kathleen) Friedline,
  Geiger; and Mrs. Frank (Janet) Bauers, Lancaster; 24 grandchildren
  and 34 great -grandchildren.  Member of the Somerset Church of the
  Brethren, retired farmer and Nationwide Insurance agent.  Services
  will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral
  Home, with the Rev. Gerald E. Deffenbaugh officiating.  Interment,
  Somerset County Memorial Park.
