She was born June 17, 1897, in Trent, Somerset County, the daughter of Silas A. and Anna B. Putman. She was married May 28, 1916, in Middlecreek, to Paul W. Kimmel. She has been a resident of Tyrone for the past 44 years. She is survived by her husband; two sons, Max W. and Meyers P., both of Tyrone; a niece, Leona Putman Wirick, who was reared in the Kimmel home; one sister, Mrs. Oscar Barkman, Tyrone; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. She was a member and deaconess of the Tyrone Church of the Brethren. She was a former teacher of her Sunday school class. Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 27, at 11 a.m. from the Tyrone Church of the Brethren, in charge of the Rev. Stephan Margush officiating, assisted by the Rev. Samuel Kimmel. Burial will be in Bald Eagle Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cox Funeral Home in Warrior's Mark after 2 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. Thursday until time of services at the church.
