Kimmel, 65, Friedens RD 1, died Nov. 7, 1989, at Somerset Hospital. Born July 19, 1924, in Jenner Township, son of James and Carrie (Ogline) Kimmel. Also preceded in death by sisters, Agnes Little and Charlotte Barron; half-sisters, Bertha Roberts and Edna Brant. Survived by wife, the former Virginia Montgomery, and these children: Carey, married to the former Marcia Foy, and Jacky, both of Friedens RD 1; Mrs. Henry (Cathy) Fochtman and Mrs. Edward (Nancy) Fochtman, both of Berlin RD 3, and Mrs. Victor (Sally) McCrory, Somerset RD 4; also 11 grandchildren. Brother of Mrs. Annabelle Lottig, Friedens RD 1; Mrs. Guy (Nellie) Long, Berlin RD 1; George, Acosta, and Blanche Fatula, Cleveland, Ohio. He was a member of the Mountain Laurel United Church of Christ, the V.F.W., and the Jenner Rod and Gun Club. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a dairy farmer and a miner. Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 11 am. Friday, the Rev. Joseph Beer officiating.
