  Robert D. Kimmel, 71, Springdale Road, Friedens (Stonycreek Township), died
  Jan. 1, 2005, at Somerset Hospital. Born Aug. 23, 1933, in Stonycreek Township,
  son of John and Catherine (Glessner) Kimmel. Preceded in death by parents; wife,
  the former Doris June Spangler, and infant brother, John Jr. Survived by
  children, Christine, married to Padaric Smith, Meyersdale, and John, married to
  the former Michelle Duppstadt, Friedens, and grandsons, Jonathon and Michael
  Kimmel. Brother of Phyllis Strawn, Bedford, and James Kimmel, Berlin. Served in
  the U.S. Army. Retired Stonycreek Township dairy farmer. Member of Shanksville
  Assembly of God where he was a board member. Family will receive friends from 7
  to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home,
  Stoystown. Service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Shanksville Assembly of
  God. No viewing at the church. Rev. Sylvia Baker officiating. Interment,
  Somerset County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be given to
  Shanksville Assembly of God, P.O. Box 144, Shanksville, PA 15560.
