Kimmel, 45, of Confluence, died June 18, 2002 at his home. He was born Feb. 23, 1957 in Confluence, a son, of Pearle (Shaulis) Kimmel of Confluence and the late Charles Leroy Kimmel. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Deborah (Nicholson) Kimmel, sons Mark of Confluence and David, serving with the U.S. Army at Ft. Polk, La., a granddaughter, Maria Abigail Kimmel, sister, Virginia Warnick of Indianapolis, Ind., and Karol Smith of Washington, brothers, Charles Kimmel, Anchorage, Alaska, Richard "Rick" Kimmel, Confluence, and Randy Kimmel. Also many loving nieces and nephews. He was a member of Sprinkler Fitters Union Local 669 and employed by Brewer and Co. of Charleston, W.Va. He was also the bass guitarist for the former local band, Plain Grain. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with Samuel R. McClintock officiating. Interment in Jersey Cemetery. Family suggests memorial contributions to the ALS Association, Southwestern Pa.
