King, 65, Primerose Lane, Rockwood, died Feb. 13, 1999, at Somerset Hospital. Born July 15, 1933, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, son of Ray and Bertha (Schmuck) King. Preceded in death by parents, brother, Harold King and three grandchildren. Survived by wife of 29 years, the former Elsie Benford; sons, Kenneth King and Jack Lowery, both of Rockwood; and daughters, Brenda Sue Phillippi, Tracey Ann Will and Dana Marie Hinkle, all of Rockwood; and 10 grandchildren. Brother of Charles King, Rockwood; Arthur King, Rockwood; Larry King, Markleysburg; Mrs. Ernest (Betty) Hartline, Rockwood; and Mrs. Charles (Margie) Vought, Colden, N.Y. Veteran of the U.S. Army in the Korean War. Member of the Rockwood American Legion and member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Actively involved with the Kids In Need program. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Miller Funeral Home, Rockwood, where funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with Pastor Tom Zimmerman officiating.
