She was married in 1893 to Joseph P. King, who passed away in 1937. To this union were born three children, Effie (Mrs. Homer Livengood), Verna (Mrs. Homer Maust), both of Springs; and Elwood of Meyersdale, all of whom survive. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. One grandchild preceded her in death. Mrs. King became a member of the Mennonite Church in her childhood, remaining a faithful member to her death. She lived her whole life in the community of Springs, where she was born. She will long be remembered as a good wife and mother and a woman of many virtues and traits of character who made friends of all with whom she came in contact. Funeral services, which were attended by between 500 and 600 people, were held Sunday afternoon, Rev. Roy Otto, assisted by Rev. Resley Tressler, officiating. Pallbearers were Norman Maust, Alvin Schrock, Ellis Shoemaker, Charles Killius, Norman Miller and Edward Kolb. There were many beautiful floral tributes. Persons who came from a distance to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. George King and daughter, Olean, N.Y.; Mrs. Anna Davis, New York City; Calvin King, Arden, Del.; Mrs. Norman Sterner, Philadelphia; Mrs. William Zimmerman, Wilmington, Del.; Mrs. Ben Lantz and daughter, Canton, O.; Harry Speicher, Greenwood, Del.; Mrs. William Speicher and daughter, Accident, Md.; E. Frank Folk, Long, Md.; Orville Folk, Meyersdale; Mr. and Mrs. John Venable and son, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lohr and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence King, Mr. and Mrs. Walter King, Resley Blough and family and Victor Stevanus, Pittsburgh; Mr. and Mrs. Hobert King and daughter, Merrittstown, Pa.; Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Blough and daughter, Harvey Blough, Champion; Mrs. Nelson Blough, Rockwood; Mr. and Mrs. Emery Hostetler and daughter, Trent; Mrs. Carrie Hostetler, Champion; Melvin Ward and son, Mr. and Mrs. John McFarland, Mrs. Earl Miller, Frostburg; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Maust and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Maust, Scottdale; Gabriel Stevanus, Cumberland.
