She was born Jan. 22, 1909, in Casselman, a daughter of Charles and Jennie (Ohler) May. She is survived by six sons: Roy M., John E., Paul E., Dale and Everett, all of Markleton; Sheldon, of Rockwood; by two daughters: Mrs. Shirley Albright and Mrs. Mary Alice Johnson, both of Markleton; by one brother, Wilbur May of Markleton; by two sisters: Mrs. Ida Pletcher and Mrs. Ethel Spiker, both of Markleton RD 1; 39 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin, Aug. 11, 1981; also by a son, Robert; one sister and six brothers. She was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church of Markleton. Friends were received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home, where services were conducted with the Rev. Earl Meyers and the Rev. Aimee Twigg officiating. Interment to follow Mt. Zion Cemetery, Markleton. The Republic, January 20, 1983 [K0637]
