King, 83, Rockwood RD 3, died June 1, 1989 at the Meyersdale Hospital. Born May 31, 1906 in Upper Turkeyfoot Township. A son of Ross and Ada (Faidley) King. Survived by his wife Bertha (Schmuck) King of Rockwood RD 3; four sons, Charles and Arther, both Rockwood RD 3; George L. of Rockwood, and Larry of Markleysburg; two daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Betty) Hartline of Rockwood RD 3 and Mrs. Charles (Margie) Vought of Colden, N.Y. Also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Hazel Ohler of Ursina; Mrs. Thelma Gary of Berlin RD 1; and Mrs. Lottie Pletcher of Rockwood RD 3. Also survived by 18 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren, preceded in death by son, Harold in 1940, also by two brothers, Luther and George. His death terminates a marriage union of 63 years. He was a Member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. He served as a forest fire warden for 25 years and was a retired township supervisor. Owned and operated a farm in Upper Turkeyfoot Township for 61 years. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the William J. Wood Funeral Home, where services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Victor Redfoot officiating. Interment in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Wood Funeral Home in Rockwood with Francis Brady supervising. Daily American, June 2, 1989 [K0647]
