King, 78, of Markleton RD 1, died Aug. 9, 1994, at Somerset Hospital. Born April 22, 1916, in Scullton, son of the late Samuel and Elizabeth (Cramer) King. Preceded in death by first wife, the former Ruby Bungard, in 1985, and a son, Roy; brothers: Ralph and Wilmer King, and an infant son. Survived by second wife, the former Thelma Mosgrave, and the following children: Loretta, married to Eldon Sechler of Confluence RD 3; Dalton, married to the former Debbie Pletcher, and a daughter-in-law, Helen King, both of Rockwood RD 3; and a stepdaughter, Corinne Hoffman of Halifax; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Brother of Zelma Pletcher and Edward King, both of Rockwood RD 3; Mrs. Roy D. (Martha) Pletcher and Nellie Bungard, both of Markleton RD 1, and Howard King of Elyria, Ohio. A retired founder and former owner-operator of King and Bungard Lumber Company. Member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, Kingwood IOOF Lodge, and treasurer of Scullton Rod and Gun Club for many years. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. (today) Wednesday, and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, Somerset. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, with Rev. Tom Zimmerman officiating. Interment, church cemetery.
