He was a resident of Meyersdale some years ago when he was bookkeeper for the Savage Fire Brick Co. He was a son of George and Katherine (Sleek) Kinton and was born at Shellsburg. Surviving are his wife, who was Ada Shaffer, and these children: Merrill R. and Stanley, Baltimore; Mrs. Leona King, Cumberland; Mrs. Meredith Strok, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Edythe Williams, Rochester, N.Y., Robert L., Naval Air Base, Jacksonville, Fla.; Cpl. Eugene, Camp Cooke, Cal.; Pfc. Dale, Shreveport, La., and John M., at home. He also leaves two brothers and two sisters; namely, John, Gasaway, W.Va.; Henderson, Rockford, Ill.; Mrs. Blanche Stair and Miss Ethel Kinton, Hyndman. He was a member of the Reformed Church and of Meyersdale Lodge, F. and A. M. Funeral 2 p.m. Saturday, when Rev. George R. Winters conducted the service. Interment in Hyndman Cemetery in charge of Mortician H. H. Zeigler. Meyersdale Republican, June 24, 1943
