Van Zandt Va. Medical Center, Altoona. Born Oct. 9, 1916, in Listie, a son of Charles and Myrtle Belle (Snyder) Kioske. Preceded in death by parents; stepfather, Alvin Shumaker; sisters, Mildred I. Koontz and Leone E. Landsman. Survived by niece, Mrs. David (Shirley) Lamberson, Naples, Fla.; nephew, Dale Landsman and his wife Mildred, Somerset; great-nieces and great-nephew: Susan B. Reich, Cairnbrook; Jane Lamberson (Swope), Naples, Fla.; Carol Lamberson (Wallace) Ringoes, N.J.; Cynthia Weir, Stoystown and Gary Brantley, Jackson, N.J. A 1934 graduate of Somerset Township High School. World War II veteran U.S. Army first class. Retired insurance agent for the Baltimore Life Insurance and salesman for Kellogg Cereal Co. Friends received from 9 a.m. until time of service 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. The Rev. Roger L. Forry officiating. Interment, Methodist Cemetery.
