  Alice Phoebe Kirch, 94, of Sportsmans Road, Somerset, died Dec. 24,
  1999, at her residence.  Born Aug. 20, 1905, in Baldwin Township,
  Allegheny County, daughter of Jacob and Mary Elizabeth (Geottle)
  Simmons.  Preceded in death by parents; husband George William Kirch,
  who died Oct. 1, 1984; grandson James Wiester; brothers Daniel and
  Earl Simmons; sister Alma Germroth; and an infant sister.  Survived
  by the following children: Mrs. Grace A. Wiester of Apollo, Melvin G.
  Kirch of Somerset, Mrs. Truman (Erma L.) Bells of Somerset and Delmar
  "Jack" Kirch of Somerset; eight grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren
  and nine great-great-grandchildren.  Sister of Mrs. Martha Wakefield
  of Apollo.  Member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church.  Friends were
  received Sunday.  Services will be conducted 11 a.m., today (Monday)
  at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, with the Rev. Edward W.
  Ebersole officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. 
  Contributions may be made to the Somerset "In Touch" Hospice, 1590 N.
  Center Ave., Suite 111, Somerset, Pa. 15501, or Mt. Calvary Lutheran
  Church, 3093 Glades Pike, Somerset, Pa., 15501.
