Kirchner, wife of George C. Kirchner, of 156 Keystone St., passed away in the Hazel McGilvery Hospital on Friday, Oct. 10 at 3:30 a.m. after a long illness. She was born in Hyndman, the daughter of Benjamin and Mary (Deneen) Day, July 2, 1889, and was aged 58 years, 3 months and 7 days. In March, 1907, she was married to George C. Kirchner. Six children were born to them, one of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her aged mother, her husband and these children: Theodore, Baltimore, Md.; Roy, Cumberland, Md.; Mrs. Dorothy Ickes, Beaverdale, Pa.; George C., Meyersdale, and Frank, at home. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Viola Kirchner, Meyersdale and these brothers, William Day, McKeesport; Irvin, Connellsville, and John, Fairhope, also by eight grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1:30 in the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren, the pastor, Rev. Loren Bowman officiating. The pallbearers were: Charles Long, Perry Beal, Ira Rayman, William Peniz, John Tressler and Joe Bittner. Interment in the Hyndman Cemetery in charge of H. R. Konhaus. Mrs. Kirchner was a member of the Auxiliary to the S.U.V. She was a kind and loving mother and a helpful neighbor, and was of a cherry disposition. There were many beautiful floral tributes.
