  Mrs. Ferne Kirk, 79, Allegheny Lutheran Home, formerly of
  Jennerstown, died the evening of April 8, 1985, at the home. 
  Arrangements in charge of the Hoffman Funeral Homes, Boswell, are
  incomplete.

  Mrs. Ferne Kirk, 79, Allegheny Lutheran Home, formerly of
  Jennerstown, died April 8, 1985, at the home.  Born April 9, 1905, in
  Conemaugh Township, daughter of Chauncey M. and Bertha (Gashaw)
  Kaufman.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, John E., died Oct.
  5, 1951; son, Cecil, died April 18, 1970; sister, Mary; brothers,
  Robert and Richard. Survived by two children: Dorothy, wife of Dr.
  Alfred Brockunier, Pelham Manor, N.Y.; Kenneth K., married to former
  Natalie Tourkia, West Covina, Calif.; eight grandchildren; eight
  great-grandchildren.  Sister of Alma Krause, Boswell; Agnes, wife of
  Harry C. Smith, Johnstown; Ruth Thomas Cox, Pomona, Calif.  Member of
  Laurel Trinity Lutheran Church, Jennerstown.  Friends received 2-4,
  7-9 p.m. Wednesday, at Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street,
  Boswell.  Body will be transferred to Laurel Trinity church for
  viewing from 10 a.m. Thursday until time of service at 11 a.m., the
  Rev. Jesse E. Wolf.  Interment, Kaufman Cemetery, Davidsville.
