  Warren Landis Kister Sr., 70, of Somerset RD 7 died Jan. 16, 1994, at
  Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.  Born Feb. 1, 1923, in
  Somerset.  Son of the late Charles Burton and Sarah Elizabeth
  (Landis) Kister.  Preceded in death by an infant sister, Mildred, and
  a brother, Clyde.  Survived by his wife of 47 years, the former Janet
  (Chip) Walpusk Kister, and the following children: Candace, wife of
  Steve Christner; Warren Landis Jr., married to the former Beverly
  Dickey; Carl, married to the former Pamela Hersh; Carrie, wife of
  Brad Conn, and Rebecca Mackanos, all of the Somerset area; the
  following grandchildren: Collin and Lindsay Christner; Heather, Chad,
  Bradley and Amber Kister; Westley and Landon Conn, and Michael
  Mackanos.  Brothers: Oran Kister of Somerset and Clifford Kister of
  Berlin RD 1, and a sister, Luella Hoover of Somerset.  Owner and
  operator of Kister Petroleum.  U.S. Army veteran of World War II. 
  Member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ.  Friends were received
  at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be
  conducted at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) at St. Paul's United Church of
  Christ, West Union Street, Somerset, with the Rev. Glenn Sadler
  officiating.  Interment, Husband Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers,
  family suggests contributions to St. Paul's United Church of
  Christ.  There will be no viewing of the remains at the church.
