  Phyllis E. Klein, 68, Patriot Manor, Somerset, died Aug. 26, 1998, in Somerset 
  Hospital.  Born in Stonycreek Township Dec. 6, 1929, daughter of the late Daniel 
  and Verda (Pugh) Landis.  Preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Leroy 
  and her husband, Harry L. Klein.  Survived by one sister, Ruby, wife of Richard 
  W. Leer, Friedens; and these nieces and nephews: Lou Ann Bowersox, Roger Leer, 
  Randy Leer, Rick Leer, Ron Leer, Robert Leer, Carol Rhodes, Sherry Nancarvis, 
  Tammy Fencil, Susan Thompson.  Member of the Brotherton Church of the Brethren.  
  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in the Robert H. Halverson 
  Funeral Home, where service will be conducted Saturday at 1:30 p.m., with the 
  Rev. Patricia Nelson officiating.  Interment, St. John's Cemetery.
