  KLEINERT
  
  William C. Kleinert, 87, of Berlin died Oct. 5, 1996, at Meadow View Nursing 
  Center.  Born Sept. 26, 1909, in McKees Rocks.  Son of Carl and Martha (Miller) 
  Kleinert.  Preceded in death by parents; brothers, John and Sylvester, and a 
  sister, Helen Holzer.  Survived by his wife, the former Doris Hampe, and these 
  children: Richard of Somerset RD 1; John W.; Nathan, married to the former 
  Barbara Speicher, and Mrs. Elmer (Chris) Halle Jr. all of Berlin; Harvey, 
  married to the former Pamela Meager of Berlin RD 3, and Conrad of Malibu, Calif.  
  Six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.  Also a 
  sister, Isabelle Haenel of Pittsburgh; nephews, Carl Holzer and William 
  Kleinert, and a niece, Martha Logan.  World War II Army veteran.  Former 
  employee of PennDOT.  Member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New 
  Baltimore.  A former member of the Berlin American Legion.  Family will receive 
  friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where 
  wake service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 
  held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Church, New Baltimore, Rev. Mark 
  S. Begly.  Interment, church cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be given to 
  the Humane Society of Somerset County, RD 3 Somerset, PA 15501.
