Klimek, 81, of Old Hershberger Road, Hollsopple, died Nov. 15, 2002 at Memorial Medical Center. Born Sept. 17, 1921 in Hyasota, son of Anthony and Nellie (Kusher) Klimek. Preceded in death by parents and infant brother, Anthony. Survived by wife, former Anna "Poopie" Suboleski; children Dianne, married to William Blair, Johnstown; Michelle, married to Bradley Callihan, Hooversville; Anthony, married to the former Jan Tomaszewski, Cincinnati; and John, married to the former Ruth Bosetti, Oakdale; and grandchildren, Megan Blair; Michael, Andrew, Jennifer, Olivia, David, Richie, Sarah and Gracie Klimek; and Isaac Callihan. Brother of Charles, married to former Jacqueline Srambourg, Hollsopple, Nellie, married to Leonard Karabelski, Detroit, Mary, widow of John Pondo, Detroit, and Josephine, married to John Fusina, Davidsville. A 1941 graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School. Member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville. A very active member of former Holy Cross Church, Jerome; Jerome Nest 556, Polish Falcons of America; and Hollsopple Post 8861 VFW, Army Air Corp Veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theater of Operations. He was a self employed carpenter, having worked with his brother, Charles. He would have observed his 48th wedding anniversary on Nov. 27, 2002. He was an avid woodworker, craftsman and gardener. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Route 403 and Church Road, Davidsville, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 2 p.m. Monday. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anne Church with the Rev. Father Michael Lewandowski OFM Conv., celebrant. Committal, St. Anne Cemetery.
