Klimek, 85, Hollsopple, died Oct. 3, 2008, at Arbutus Park Manor, Johnstown. Born Nov. 12, 1922, in Bedford County, son of Anthony and Anne (Kusher) Klimek. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Andrew; and sister, Josephine Fusina; and two infant brothers. Survived by wife, the former Jacqueline Frombourg; son, Patrick, married to former Francine Smoter, Boardman, Ohio; grandchildren, Paulette, married to Scott Instone, Johnstown, and their children, Nicole Nau, and Morgan and Colin Instone; Anastascia Klimek And her companion, Gill Cardenas, Sanger, Calif., and their children, Ryan, and Caleb; and Capt. Sean Klimek, USAF, San Antonio; sisters, Mary Pondo, and Nellie Karabelski, both of Detroit; brother-in-law, John Fusina, Davidsville; and his favorite pet poodle, "Miss Abby." A graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School. A World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the European Theatre. While serving in France, he met his wife Jacqueline. They were married in 1945 in Paris and have celebrated a union of 61 years. A member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville. Charles was a carpenter by trade working with his brother, Andrew for over 30 years, building custom made houses throughout the Johnstown and Somerset area. He enjoyed his garden, wood shop and deer hunting with his son, Patrick and brother-in-law, John. Charles will be sadly missed! The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the entire staff of Crossroads, Arbutus Manor. The nurses, nursing aides and activity staff provided exceptional compassionate care during his stay. Also, a debt of gratitude to the staff from Asera Care Hospice, who provided comfort to Charles and his family in the final days. Also, special thanks to Bob and Leor, of Meyersdale, for their help and compassion. Viewing from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville, where vigil for the deceased will be held Monday afternoon. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anne Church. The Rev. Fr. Karl Kolodziejski, OFM Conv. celebrant. Committal Holy Cross Cemetery with military rites by the Somerset County Honor Guard.
