Murell (Poppie) Kline, 77, a resident of Wiley Ford, W. Va., since 1935, died October 7, 1984, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Maryland. He had been ill for four months. Born July 19, 1907 in Cumberland, he was a son of the late Albert Kline and Tennie C. (Yost) Kline. His wife was the late Nora Viola (Owens) Kline. He was a dairy farmer and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Berkeley Springs, W. Va. Surviving are two sons, William R. Kline and Perry E. Kline, and one daughter, Mrs. Nora Jean Higson, all of Wiley Ford; four brothers, Nile Kline, Cumberland; Alfred Kline, Brice Hollow Road; Worthington Kline, Salisbury; Allard Kline, Baltimore, Maryland; one sister, Mrs. Cordelia Hawse, Port Charlotte, Fla.; 12 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home where services were conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Jan Johnson and the Rev. Benny Brakeall. Interment, Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers were James Riley, Leo Swanger, Larry Weigle, Richard Lynn Kline, Perry E. Kline Jr., Scott A. Kline and Ronald E. Higson. The Republic, October 11, 1984 [K0763]
