All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ JACOB KLINGAMAN Funeral services were conducted Monday morning in the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren for Jacob Klingaman, 71, who died suddenly last Friday night in the Somerset Community Hospital. Cause of his death was cerebral hemorrhage. Rev. DeWitt Miller, pastor of the church, officiated. Interment was in Union Cemetery in Meyersdale under the direction of H. R. Konhaus, Meyersdale mortician. The body was viewed by friends at the Konhaus Funeral Home Sunday night. Mr. Klingaman was born on April 4, 1870, in Somerset County and was a son of Noah and Lydia (Miller) Klingaman. His wife preceded him in death. Surviving are these children: Mrs. Bruce Fike, Meyersdale R.D.; Mrs. James Boyer, Mrs. William Fike, Meyersdale; Mrs. John Herwig, Friedens; Mrs. Peter Baer, Meyersdale R.D., and Mrs. William Rogers, Silver Springs, Md. Also surviving are 28 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Klingaman had been employed on construction work of the new railroad being put in at Shanksville by the Berwind White Coal Co.
