Klink died suddenly at 3 p.m., Thursday, February 20, while seated in a chair in his Elk Lick Township home reading the "Farm Journal." Seemingly in perfect health, he had been cutting props in the morning, but due to the inclement weather decided not to go out to the woods in the afternoon. His death was due to a heart attack. Mr. Klink, who was the son of the late David and Sally (Maust) Klink, was born in Elk Lick Township, November 5, 1877, and lived to the age of 69 years, 3 months and 17 days. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice (Bockes) Klink, and the following children: Homer J., Clyde V., and Eugene D. Klink, all of Garrett R.D.; Paul E. and Ralph E. Klink, Meyersdale R.D.; Mrs. Pearl (Fred) Christner, Mrs. Miriam (Eugene) Burkholder, both of Garrett; Mrs. Grace (Charles) Schradel, Friedens; Mrs. Mildred (Edward) Beal, Mrs. Margaret (William) Forest, both of Meyersdale, and Mrs. Hazel (Richard) Blubaugh, Berlin. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Faidley and Mrs. Amanda Pyle, Meyersdale R.D.; also by 27 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Klink was a farmer and lumberman, and was especially well known among lumber dealers, and was an expert in sawmill work, but retired three years ago. He and Mrs. Klink were married 47 years ago. Funeral services were held at 2:30 Sunday afternoon in St. Paul's Reformed Church of which he was a lifelong member. Rev. George K. Ely officiated. Interment in the Wilhelm (St. Paul) Cemetery under the direction of W. C. Price & Son, Meyersdale morticians. Meyersdale Republican, February 27, 1947
