    SANDRA SUE KNAPP
    
      Sandra Sue Knapp, 36, of Newport, N.C., formerly of Fort Hill,
  died Aug. 19, 1988, at the Windber Hospital, Windber.
      Born April 30, 1952, in Meyersdale, she was the daughter of Glenn
  and Alice (Wable) Durst, of Fort Hill.
      She worked in the housekeeping department of the Cherry Point,
  N.C. Naval Hospital and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church,
  Fort Hill.
      Surviving in addition to her parents are her husband, Marine
  Gunnery Sgt. Calvin L. Knapp; one son, Cory Knapp, at home; two
  daughters, Kelly Sue Knapp and Casey Glenn Knapp, both at home; four
  brothers, Thomas G. Durst and Donald R. Durst, both of Meyersdale;
  John A. Durst, Springs; and Douglas L. Durst, of Fort Hill; and two
  sisters, Mrs. Jean Knapp, Warren; and Shirley Brinson; Havlock, N.C.
      Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville,
  where services were conducted Monday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Nevin
  Umbel.  Interment, St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
