Knecht, 82, of Carlisle, Pa., died Nov. 6, 1994 in the Sarah Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle. Born Aug. 13, 1912 in West Salisbury, he was the son of the late William M. and Alice (Bevins) Knecht. William was the owner of the M. Knecht and Sons Foundry in West Salisbury. Alice was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Carlisle, and a former member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, West Salisbury. He is survived by his wife, Bertha Willoughby Knecht; daughter Judy Ann Biddington, at home; son William R., Sacramento, Calif.; two sisters: Jean Burns, Baltimore, Md.; Rita Knecht, West Salisbury; and three grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held Nov. 10 (today) at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Patrick Shrine Church, Carlisle, with the Rev. Andrew J. Fontanella as celebrant.
